American Paratus Security Agency is a small family-owned and veteran-operated private security agency that was founded in 2014. Security Officers are our most valuable asset. Our Security Officers are responsible for monitoring and conducting foot patrols on construction sites, apartment complexes, hospitality locations, retail sites, and many others. A Non-Commissioned Security Officer is an individual who currently holds an active Non-Commissioned (Unarmed) Security Officer License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Non-Commissioned Security Officer Job Responsibilities:
Our clients rely on us to protect and secure their assets by providing the most professional service possible. To achieve that goal our Security Officers are required to perform some basic duties while on duty in addition to site-specific instruction.

Presents losses and damages by reporting irregularities and informing violators of the client’s policy and procedures.

Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points.

Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.

Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.

Interview witnesses and obtain signatures as needed.

Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.

Maintains the organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.

Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.

Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Work Hours:
The expected work hours of a Security Officer depend on the type of client and the shift. Some security officers are required to work daytime shifts, while others need to ensure security at night.
Non-Commissioned Security Officer Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Experience Requirements:

Valid Driver’s license

Must current a Non-Commissioned Security Officer License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Clean Background Check

Dependable Transportation

Smartphone with active service to perform required tasks while on duty.

Must complete the State of Texas Level 3 training course within 90 days from the start of employment. (At the applicant’s expense)
